CRIADO performed general engineering support services including engineering design and CADD services for the TXDOT project SH 183 Managed Lanes. As part of a Design/Build Team, CRIADO was responsible for Traffic Control Plans (TCP) (Segments 3 and 1A) and drainage for Segment 2 of the SH 183 Design/Build project. CRIADO designed onsite drainage for the entire 16 lane ultimate freeway and frontage road design.
Segment 1A TCP work included maintenance of traffic phasing layout for intersecting side streets at SH 183/Industrial Blvd. and SH 183/Ector Rd in Euless. CRIADO was the lead designer for Segment 2 (Sections 1 and 2) on-site storm sewer systems from Beltline to MacArthur. Segment 3 starts at and includes the SH 183/SH 114/Spur 482 intersection and includes SH 183/35E merge stretching to nearly 3 miles of a very busy corridor between Irving and Dallas.
Currently, this project is under construction. The frontage roads containing the major drainage trunk lines are open or near-completion on both the eastbound and westbound side of SH183 between Belt Line and MacArthur Blvd.
