Abel S. receives Billy Clark Award

CRIADO recognizes one team member a year for the Billy Clark Award. The person is nominated by their peers for going above and beyond during the year.

The 2023 award recipient was Abel Sandoval, survey technician, in recognition of his dedication to CRIADO.

One of Abel’s peers said, “Abel always offers help to his teammates and goes beyond what is asked of him. He continually works to become proficient with the new tools and technologies that are shaping the surveying industry. He enthusiastically passes his skills and knowledge on to new field employees, playing a critical role in their success as well as the company’s.”

The Billy Clark award is in honor of Billy Clark, who worked with CRIADO from 2015-2019 when he suddenly passed away from Lou Gehrig’s disease. During his short time with us, Billy showed true commitment and loyalty to the company. He was patient and always willing to lend a helping hand. He was immensely punctual and professional, consistently encouraging, and supportive of his team members, and above all, Billy took great pride in his work.

Billy Clark always went above and beyond for his friends, his family, and his co-workers. To be recognized as a Billy Clark Award recipient means that you hold the highest level of regard for your position and team members; you are a team player; and you possess the desire to not only serve but complete all tasks with the highest level of quality, pride, kindness, and a positive attitude.

CRIADO wins dark beer category at Opstoberfest

Congratulations to CRIADO’s Sr Discipline Lead Jason Kelliher, PE, for taking home 1st and 2nd in the dark beer category at WEAT North Texas Section Opstoberfest. Besides the awards, visitors to our tent enjoyed short neck and back massages, tried Jason’s beer and/or munched on our brats and roasted corn. CRIADO receives Best Firms to Work For awards at Zweig Group Banquet

CRIADO recently attended the Zweig Award Banquet in Frisco, Texas to receive our awards for Best Firms to Work For, which included ranking #31 in the Multidiscipline category and #18 in the 50 to 99 Employees category, respectively. This is the fifth year the firm has made the Zweig Group’s rankings. The first year was in 2015.

“The Best Firms To Work For program is more than an awards program. It is a powerful and industry-specific benchmarking platform that provides a view of what the employee experience looks like in today’s top performing AEC firms,” said Zweig Group CEO Chad Clinehens. “Firms can use this ranking and the data it yields to develop strategies and initiatives to drive greater returns on the investment in their people. With the current unprecedented challenge in the labor market in the AEC industry, winners of the 2023 Best Firms To Work For have much to celebrate this year.”
