The PRIDE award recognizes an employee each quarter who excels in upholding CRIADO’s values through People, Respect, Integrity, Dedication, and Excellence. In the first quarter of 2023, Jeff Williams, Senior Survey Technician, received the award.

His peers spoke of his availability to assist and teach on the job and his humility, “Jeff has always been a person I can rely on ever since my first day at Criado. He has always held a high regard for those he works with. He is a hub in the survey department.”

Jeff has been working in the survey industry for more than 18 years. He has helped to strengthen and streamline the department. We are very happy to have him as a team member at CRIADO.

CRIADO congratulates Stephen Schaffhouser and Chris Long on their recent promotions. Stephen was promoted to Field Crew Coordinator, and Chris to Junior Survey Technician.

Stephen has worked with CRIADO for almost two years, rising from Party Chief to his new role.

Chris is in his fifth year with the firm and has held multiple positions in the survey department.

CRIADO thanks them both for their dedication and wish them continued success with the firm.

CRIADO is proud to announce that it is part of the AECOM team working on the Fair Park Capital Improvements. The CRIADO team will be led by David Hawkins, PE, who will support program management services for the delivery of civil engineering projects needed for the upcoming Community Park Complex. This complex will include an expansive 18-acre greenspace and a 1,650-space parking structure. CRIADO will assist AECOM and Fair Park First on overseeing the design and construction of this historic community park.

CRIADO attended the 12th annual Form Follows Fitness 5k presented by Blackson Brick in Downtown Dallas on February 18, 2023. Five employees took to the starting line to support the The Architecture and Design Exchange, which creates programs for the public to learn more about architecture and design. CRIADO also sponsored a booth, allowing us to interact with fellow architecture and engineering firms in the DFW Metroplex.

The race saw its largest number of participants to date with more than 3000 runners and walkers at Klyde Warren Park. CRIADO congratulates all of the finishers, and we look forward to seeing you again next year!

CRIADO is happy to announce that our HR Director, Thomas McClain, PHR, will facilitate HR Roundtable at the Texas ACEC HR Morrissey Goodale Business Conference on May 10-11. The annual conference facilitates three roundtable events covering Information Technology, Accounting/Financial (CFO), and Human Resources. These events are designed for member firms to examine issues facing their companies in the current market. 

The human resources roundtable will discuss HR-related issues, including recruiting, retention, leadership, and more. 

Thomas has more than 15 years of experience in Human Resources and with CRIADO for one year. He is also an Air Force veteran. He has attended this conference six times, and this will be his first time speaking.

CRIADO will be traveling two career fairs this Spring, including SMU and University of Texas-Arlington. We will be meeting with engineering students about internships, as well as job opportunities.

Criado & Associates, Inc makes history with selection to the inaugural University of Texas-Austin Texas Exes’ Longhorn 100. The list “identifies, recognizes, and celebrates the success of the 100 fastest growing Longhorn owned or led businesses in the world. ”  

Owner & CEO, Cristina Criado is a University of Texas-Austin graduate and a Texas Exes member. Recipients will be honored in May 2023 at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center and highlighted in the “Alcalde” magazine.

On Jan. 19, the CRIADO office was popping in honor of National Popcorn Day. Teammates could choose between three flavors: butter, caramel, and chocolate peanut butter. This treat brought smiles to the workplace and an afternoon delight to a regular Thursday.

The PRIDE award recognizes an employee each quarter who excels in upholding CRIADO’s values through People, Respect, Integrity, Dedication, and Excellence. In the fourth quarter of 2022, Gary Weyenberg, CRIADO Party Chief with the Survey department, was awarded the recognition.
His supervisor, Kevin Wendell, Survey Manager, said, “He’s a dedicated employee of 6 years, that has been instrumental in the success of the Survey Department.”
The sentiment was echoed by several nominations that were received, which said he always does a good job and willing to assist any team member in need.

During the month of December, CRIADO collected blankets at the office to help the non-profit Project Warm Us. They work with OurCalling to help keep Dallas’ homeless warm in the winter by collecting blankets, socks, shoes, warm accessories, and coats. Employees collected more than 42 blankets to donate to the organization.
